Where are we?The Coddington Guest House is on Coddington Road, just off New York State Route 96B, around the corner from Franco's Restaurant, atop Ithaca's South Hill. We overlook the Cayuga Lake valley to the north, as well as Cornell University on the opposite hill to the northeast.
If you're approaching Ithaca from the north or the west, on Route 13, 89, or 96 south, or Route 79 east, come down the hill to "the Octopus," where all of these roads meet, and follow the signs for 96B and Ithaca College. You will be routed through downtown Ithaca on Clinton Street (also 96B) until you cross a bridge, pass the police station, and come to a stop sign. Turn right to continue up South Hill, following signs to Ithaca College.On your left will be Franco's Restaurant and King Subs. Turn left just beyond the green Rogan's Corner sign onto Coddington Road. A few buildings down on your right, you'll see the restaurant. Our driveway is the very next one on the right after the restaurant parking lot. Park in front of the garage and come to the front door.
If you get to the Ithaca College main entrance, you've gone too far. Just turn around and take the first right onto Coddington Road coming back down the hill.
Take East State Street (Route 79 west) down the hill into the middle of town. East State Street stops at the Commons, a pedestrian mall; you must turn left or right here. Turn left at the light, and follow signs to Ithaca College and Route 96B up the hill.On your left will be Franco's Restaurant and King Subs. You'll know when you reach the town of Ithaca, as you'll be descending a hill and seeing signs for Ithaca and Ithaca College. Just after you pass the entrance to Ithaca College on your right, you'll take the very next right turn onto Coddington Road. The turn is just before the high, green Rogan's Corner sign. Turn right and pass about four buildings before ours. Our driveway is the very next one on the right after the restaurant parking lot. Park in front of the garage and come to the front door.
